April 7, 2012 This is me... when I was 7 or 8... in my dance costume. Yep I was a skinny little thing back than but as you can see even as a little girl I have always had pretty muscular legs. This was after 6 years of tap dancing, which continued on until I was into my 20's. I also took others styles of dance lessons, ran track, played basketball, softball and anything else I could get involved in that had to do with athletics. Of course I pay no attention to my diet at all and ate cookies and cake for breakfast and my favorite food were smores pop tarts... but thats besides the point! I went through some odd times as all teenagers do with their bodies, but there was always one thing I could be proud of and that was my legs! Long, strong, lean and muscular. As I got older (and let some things go) the strength was always there, but the appearance... well, lets just say I wouldnt be caught in shorts outside of my house and was pretty self conscious in a bathing suit. Its ...

November 22, 2011 24 DAYS OF THANKS #22 - I am thankful for my Mom. She is the most important admirable person in my life. She has taught me how to be an independent woman, how to stand on my own to feet, how to be compassionate and loving and overall how to be the woman I have become. She is my best friend. The one I argue with most, however the one whos opinion I value the most. I seek her advise, listen to her opinion and talk to her about everything. I am one lucky lady to have her as my mom. I can only hope I am half the mom my mom is when I have children. Todays WOD was awesome. Again... right up my alley. KP and T were there to WOD with me which is just more determination to kick its ass!! I love dead lifting so todays body weight deadlifts were great!! One thing, is the fact that my BW has gone down, but another because I get such a high over lifting heavy. After the warmup was done I was ready.... Still sore from the run, even more sore than Monday, i was geared up....

October 26, 2011 Boy, am I thankful for the person who invented the crock pot... last night when I got home from work feeling exhausted and still a little sore I was greeted with the BEST aroma. My dinner, that had spent the day cooking on my counter. It was waiting for me, all nice and hot and ready to go with no prep! Hubs works late some nights, than he goes to CF, so I am either waiting for him to get home or usually I whip up some eggs and bacon on Monday nights. Not last night... a roast in the crock pot with mushrooms, onions, celery, carrots, squash and a red wine sauce. Yummo! Not only did I get to eat dinner at a reasonable hour, BUT, I was also in bed with my eyes closed and about to fall asleep at 9:00pm!! Yeah, I know, I live on the edge!! I cant tell you what getting to bed at 9:00pm means to me when I have to get up at 4:45am!! Eight hours of sleep is basically unheard of! When the alarm went off I was up and at em! I felt good and rejuvenated! It was great. Off to C...
