13.3 - Feel the Burn

March 23, 2013 I woke up this morning thinking... "my legs are FRIED." In addition to that I have been constantly thinking about how poor my double under performance was on Thursday and that there was absolutely no reason why I should not have a better split time than I did on. In fact, I have been pretty stressed about this workout since it was released. I knew for sure that my time would be better than last year, but I am just not confident at all in my double unders and that takes a huge toll on my mindset. After my horrid performance at the Love em or Leave em with the double unders and than my 4 minute frustration session Thursday today had the potential to be a disaster. My legs were all jacked up, but as I started moving I had a feeling they would loosen up. However, in my head I was just so nervous about the stress I was putting on myself and the expectations I had on myself... it was enough to make me sick. March 17, 2012 This image couldnt have been a better find to describe my approach to 12.4... - a fixed purpose... CHECK - the power and will to persist... CHECK - to have the grit... CHECK - to go the distance... CHECK - hell bent on reaching a goal... CHECK - getting it done... CHECK I will say this... as I try to be as "real" as I can be in each of these writings. Things with me have been a little off and walking into the gym to actually perform 12.4 I was not in a good place. I have some "issues" that I am working out in my head and to be honest, I am trying to use everything that I have written myself as a guide to how to get through it. I think about all the times I have written about strength (mental not physical), courage to be the person you want to be, drive to get there and how not to settle for things you are not happy with. I am that person and I stand 100% behind everything I have written... but I also know that everyone has breaking points, everyo...

November 23, 2011 24 DAYS OF THANKS #23 - I am thankful for my Dad. My hero, my protector, my best and worst critic. He taught me honesty, respect, determination and humbleness. He inspires me to give my 110% at everything I do, big or small. There isnt a task I cant accomplish if I put my mind to it. He is a solid rock for my mom and I, and is always there for us when we need him. He has worked hard his whole life to provide for us. He is the strongest man I know, been through more than most in his life, yet always comes out with his head high on the other side. I am proud to be a Zawacki and I am proud to be just like my dad. When T and I arrived at the gym this morning we were greeted by M. He had posted one heck of a warmup for us!! Everything from burpee pullups to wall walks!! I was really really happy with myself that I was able to do the burpee pullups without an assist band. I am closer than I think to a pullup. I really want to focus on a dead hang pullup before the...
