I'm Feeling It!

Image
May 28, 2013 Its only been a little over 30 hours since Murph... but I am certainly feeling those 200 pushups today! It was not so bad while I was at the gym this morning and really not too bad while I was at work... but the few hours since I have been home, dang! This is the feeling I love to feel. I am starting a little extra skill training to help improve some of my lifts. I am also going to be starting to focus on other days on goats like HSPUs, muscle ups, chest to bars and the list goes on. Now is the time to push, improve and do what I need to do to get where I want to be. There is so much more in me! Cant wait to get it out! WARMUP: 3 Rounds - Bear Crawl Gym - 5 Ring Rows - 10 Spiderman - 10 Scorpion - 10 Toy Soldiers WOD: Thing 1 and Thing 2 3 Rounds - 10 Power Cleans (105) - 200m Run *5 min Rest* 3 Rounds - 30 Double Unders - 15 Burpees (5:32 & 5:00 Rx) SKILL: Good Mornings 1 X 10 @ 45 3 X 10 @ 95 .

May 17, 2012 Well Hubs and I are officially signed up for the EUROPA Get Fit & Sports Expo, Beast of the East Qualifier! We are very excited and as expected a little nervous. Besides the small throwdown I went to at a local gym before the Garage Games last year I have not even attempted to compete as an individual in a competition like this! We did do the Team Comp so we have an idea of what to expect, but man... when I signed up for an individual woman in the Rx division... I think I about fainted! Look where I have come from and look where I am going! Its empowering to know that I have come to the point where I feel I can hold my own in a competition. It helps that they have listed the WOD's that we will be doing at the comp on the website so we can train and be as prepared as possible. I am certainly not one to give up a challenge, so Hubs and I heading down to CT for this competition! Its going to be some major excitement and probably a little anxiety driven at the sa...

October 29, 2011 I certainly was feeling the filthy fifty when I woke up this morning. My hamstrings, quads and back appreciated the 8 hours of sleep I was luck enough to get for the THIRD night in a row! I am getting spoiled with this. Better not get used to it... I know it wont last long! I will however take what I can get when I can get it! Originally I had planned to get up a little later and hit the 9:00 class, things went a little differently last night and I wound up waking up early and getting to the gym for 8:00. I knew I was going to face the "chief" this morning, I saw the workout on Thursdays web posting and knew that was my workout! I love when I see one like that so I know I can attack it on a Saturday with full force! When I got to the gym M was there and ready for me to get going. I worked through the warmup and got myself going. Really using every warmup movement to get stretched out and my sore muscles moving. All of the exercises I did yesterday affec...

Cleaning Day

September 21, 2011 I knew this morning was going to be a rough one. As it was approaching 11:00pm last night and I was still a the Historic District Commission meeting 30 minutes from my house for a project my firm is working on. I was watching the clock thinking... "tomorrow morning is going to suck getting up for..." I arrived home around 11:45, dragged myself up the stairs and into bed by midnight. I think I fell asleep in 30 seconds. Than what felt like 30 seconds later the alarm went off at 4:45... Oh.My.God. I pulled myself out of bed and headed to Fitchburg. I have been battling what feels like it could be allergies this week. My throat is sore and I am sneezing... I know I have fall allergies so I am going to chock it up to that. I think I need to get a few good night sleeps in so I can fight it off if it is in fact a cold. I havent had a cold in ages, I would have to totally blame it on the Dr office if I did get one. I was there last Friday. We shall see. I have...
