Lucky Number SEVEN!

24 DAYS OF THANKS
#19 - I am thankful for my education. That I was lucky enough to be accepted to a four year college and graduate with my bachelors, than continue on to receive my masters. Hard work, dedication and lots of long nights and painful drafting/study sessions aside I am so thankful I had the opportunity to do what I want to do with my life.

Today was another PERFECT example of why I love crossfit so much. A, KP, K, and J were all at the gym at 8:00 this morning. We wanted to get in our WOD before starting the day. J had a different "make up" workout to do, but was ready to face the music (literally, since we have a killer Saturday morning playlist) with the ladies!

I was there to face "Seventh Heaven" I was ready for this one and really excited. Seemed like it was really up my ally with thrusters and rowing. It was going to be a good one too because A and KP were going to be WODing with me. After we moved the rowers around and around the gym (which was quite comical) we were set and ready to kick some seventh heaven's butt!

This was a good one! Seven rounds. It was such hard work, but I really just kept focused to get all 7 thrusters in unbroken each round. This allowed me to pick up some time. I also really paid mind to the rowing and the form that we have been working on. Long hard pulls, pushing through the heels with maximum distance... and a slow return all the way in with the handle.

The energy was fantastic!! J finished his WOD and was cheering us all on. K was her usual self pushing each one of us the way she knows how and as soon as I was done, I was right there cheering on K and A. We all put it all on the table and as soon as the last meter of the last row of the 7th round was complete a total sense of accomplishment comes over you.

After the WOD it was time for me to OH Squat. I was again really looking forward to this! I totally astonished myself when I had a overall PR of 120lbs!! It felt so fantastic that I was able to up my weight on these from the last time. Forward progress keeps me wanting for more.
